Common questions we get asked about riding in an indoor skatepark. If you don't find the answer you're looking for, contact us.
Are helmets required?
Helments are encouraged for all, but only required for riders under 18 years old. Rentals are available if needed.
Would it be possible to become a keyholder? I like to skate outside of your current business hours.
We have a keyholder program available for those who like to ride outside if our normal hours, and/or by themselves. Please contact us if you're interested. Note: this is not available for riders under 18
I came by at 8:30pm but you were closed.
We are open from 12pm to 9pm on weekdays and 10am to 9pm on weekends. If no one is in the park and no one shows up by about 8:15, we will generally close and let our employees go home early. However, if you show up and 8 and want to ride, we'll stay open for sure.
Can I rent out the entire park? Can I rent it outside the posted hours?
Yes! The park can be rented out, so long as it doesn't conflict with established events or special nights. If you are wanting an early morning or a late night session, this can also be arranged. Contact us for more information on how you can book the park for your private event.
Are there water fountains available? Or bottled water for sale?
Filtered water spigots are avaiable for bottle filling, and we highly encourage riders to being refillable bottles (no glass please). Otherwise we have paper cups avaiable for use and bottles of water available for sale.
Are parents/guardians required to stay with their rider?
Riders 10-14 years may be dropped off for sessions of up to two hours. Park staff reserve the right to evaluate each rider’s ability to self-govern at any time and may require a parent or guardian to remain on-site if needed. Riders under 10 years old must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for the duration of their session. A comfortable lounge with WiFi is available for those who wish to stay.
Are bikes allowed? Can I have pegs?
Totally! Any bike is welcome to ride and pegs are permitted. Sleeves/peg plugs are appreciated but not required.
Can I have a birthday party at Empire Skatepark?
For sure! The birthday sessions give you access to the whole park for the duration of the event. The lounge is available for the party, food and drinks, and we can store your cold items in the fridge up to 24 hours before your event. Each birthday session includes up to 10 riders and as many parents/non-riders as you wish (limit 100 persons please). Additional riders can be added onto your package as well. Contact us for info and booking.
Can I book a group event or rent out the park?
Absolutely! Park rentals are available for groups and events including team building, birthdays, music videos and more. Contact Us for further information on how to book your rental.
